Purchasing our Dragons
Parental consent is required to sell to customers under the age of 18. We will communicate with a minor however the purchase must be made by an adult. We also reserve the right not to sell a bearded dragon if you are unprepared to care for it appropriately. If you are interested in purchasing one of our dragons, please call us to verify that the dragon you are interested in is still available, and to make arrangements for payment & shipping. All sales are on a first come first served basis and we will hold a dragon with a 1/3 down non-refundable deposit. We can only hold an animal for 48 hours without payment or a deposit unless other arrangements have been made. All orders must be prepaid before shipping.
We currently do not pre-sell any dragons less than 6 weeks old or eggs which is a standard business practice with of some of the other breeders. This allows us to raise and care for the dragons for 8-10 weeks and assure the dragon is happy & healthy. This is typically longer than a lot of the breeders out there and significantly raises our expense but we are more concerned with sending you a healthier, better cared for dragon. However if you are interested in dragons from a specific clutch, you can email us and we will notify you when the dragons are 6-7 weeks old so you can have first choice of the clutch. We will care for and hold your dragon for an additional 2 weeks at our expense with 1/3 down. If you are interested in any of the dragons please contact us ASAP with your intent to purchase one and make arrangements for payment since the priority of choice will be solely determined by the order that the orders are received.
We try to offer a fair and reasonable price for quality bearded dragons. The prices will vary depending on the coloration, size, age, & genetics. At times we may have promotions that are often at low market prices for our dragons. We also offer a multiple dragon discount. After the first dragon purchased at full price, each additional dragons is $10.00 off the listed price. Purchase 3 or more and we will discount the cost of the dragons 10%. Dragons may be from different clutches, but all must be purchased and shipped at the same time for the multiple dragon discount to apply.

A deposit of 1/3 the purchase price is all that in necessary to hold a dragon. This commits South Texas Dragons to the expense and effort of holding and caring for your dragon, as well as removing the animal from the available listing and potentially turning away other customers.
We can hold dragons for up to two weeks with the 1/3 deposit. The balance is due at the end of the two week period unless prior arrangements have been made. If you decide you no longer wish to buy the dragon within that two week period a restocking fee equal to the initial 1/3 deposit will be charged and your deposit will not be refunded back to you. Any other payments after the 1/3 holding fee is deducted will be refunded if you have paid more than the initial deposit.
We will cover the expense of caring for and feeding your dragon for the 2 weeks while it is being held. After 2 weeks there will be an additional $5.00 per day boarding fee to cover insects, greens, & care, if prior arrangements have been made to hold your dragon longer than the 2 weeks. Once a dragon is put on hold or paid for it is considered your dragon and it will continue to get the same great care we give to all of our animals until the day it ships.
We accept all payment forms through PayPal and now you do not need a paypal account to pay. You can pay as a guest using credit or debit cards as well as bank transfers. If you chose to pay by money order the animal will not be shipped until it has been received and has cleared. We do NOT accept any personal checks. We also accept cash for local purchases or purchases made at one of the expos we are attending. If you are paying with a money order we recommend that you send payment priority mail with a delivery confirmation so that way the payment can be tracked. Also please notify us of when you are sending it so we can hold your dragon and notify you if the payment is not received. Please do not send any payments through PayPal until you contact us and receive an invoice. This allows us to hold the dragon you are interested in and add the appropriate shipping & handling charges, as well as arrange a shipping date so someone will be there to sign for the animal. Live animals will not be left at your door so someone must be there to sign for them. If it is not possible for someone to be there we can have them held at the fedex office. It has to be a fedex office and not a staples or office max. Ifyou would like them held we will also need the address of your nearest fedex office.
No refunds will be given for payments or deposits on held dragons for payment plans in default. If you are having any issues with making the arranged payments please contact us before defaulting so we can make other arrangements.
Credit card orders are processed at the time the order is placed. South Texas Dragons reserves the right to asses up to a 15% charge on all orders already processed and then canceled or returned due to fees incurred during the charge and credit process.
